The ASPCA estimates that every year across the United States, approximately 6.5 million dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters.  Unfortunately, 1.5 million of these companion animals are euthanized. Here in our Metro Atlanta community, we are not immune to this terrible problem. Recent statistics compiled by the Georgia SPOT Society reveal that in 2018, 13,000 dogs and cats were euthanized in Metro Atlanta shelters and around an additional 1,000 companion animals passed away while in animal control.

We are Animal Savers Atlanta, a non-profit organization in Atlanta, Georgia, and we exist to help remedy the issue of rampant animal homelessness in our city.  We provide financial assistance for general and specialty veterinary care, as well as food and supplies, to individual pet owners, feral colony caretakers, and licensed rescue organizations. We take a life cycle approach to our funding—that is to say that on the front-end our donations help to ensure that companion animals are able to remain with their owners, and for those animals that do find themselves homeless, our donations provide rescue organizations with the funding they need to rescue, vet, and adopt out dogs and cats to loving families in Atlanta.

February 2021 Update:  We have a Go Fund Me Site to assist with vet care for rescued babies Oreo and Midnight, should you feel inclined to contribute to their care!

Would you like to help Animal Savers Atlanta rescue and provide medical care for more cats and dogs?  Your donation goes a long way, and every dollar counts!  Thank you so much!
Animal Savers Atlanta is
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
